Montessori’s Gones takes the protection of your personal data, and that of your children, very seriously. This page explains what data we collect on this website, why we collect it, and what your rights are, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés).

Data controller

SARL GUELLIER Muriel & Cie — Montessori’s Gones, École Montessori de la Croix-Rousse 21, rue André Bonin, 69004 Lyon Contact: contact@montessori-gones.fr

Data we collect

We only collect the data you choose to send us through our contact and enrolment forms:

  • the parent’s name, email address and phone number;
  • the child’s first name, date of birth and preferred class (enrolment form);
  • the content of your message.

This data is used solely to answer your enquiries, arrange a visit and process an application for enrolment. The processing is based on your request (steps taken prior to entering into a contract) and on our legitimate interest in responding to families who contact us.

Your data is never sold, rented out or used for advertising.

Who has access to your data

Your data can only be accessed by the school’s management team. It is hosted by our technical service providers, acting on our behalf:

  • website hosting and visitor statistics: Cloudflare, Inc.;
  • form submissions: Web3Forms, which forwards your message to the school by email;
  • the school’s email (contact@montessori-gones.fr): Gandi SAS.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. Such transfers are covered by the safeguards provided for by the GDPR (an adequacy decision, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses).

How long we keep your data

Enquiries that do not lead to enrolment are deleted no later than 3 years after our last exchange. Data relating to enrolled families is kept for as long as the child attends the school, and thereafter for the periods required by law.

Cookies and audience measurement

This website does not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. Visitor statistics are measured with a privacy-friendly tool that uses no cookies and collects no personal data (Cloudflare Web Analytics). This is why no cookie consent banner is needed.

The video on the home page is hosted on YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you click play; the video then plays in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), under Google’s own privacy policy.

The “Get directions” links open Google Maps, and event tickets are sold through Billetweb: these websites apply their own privacy policies.

Photos of children

Photos of children are published on this website only with their parents’ written consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to contact@montessori-gones.fr: the photo will be removed as quickly as possible.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, write to us at contact@montessori-gones.fr. We will reply within one month.

If you feel your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

Security

This website is served exclusively over HTTPS, and access to data is restricted to the people who need it.
